Have you ever wonder that food can actually be personified? Yes, it would never happen in our real life but in the game world, it is possible. Food Fantasy, an adventure management JRPG mobile game that was released on July 2018. It is a brand new combination of action-adventure mobile RPG and restaurant management game.

The game is based on an anime fantasy setting where the evils will be known as “Fallen Angels” who have emerged and their aim is to plunge the world in despair. However, this also causes the appearance of “Food Souls”, the living representation of well-known dishes. Their appearance is to arise and defend the world from these evils. And we, as the master attendants get to play a big part in this.

  This game enables the game players to collect Food Souls around the world with unique personalities, traits, and appearances. For examples, Tiramisu, Boston Lobster, Spaghetti, Coffee and Red Wine.  Some of the Food Souls can be paired together like Steak and Red Wine to unleash deadly combo attacks upon your enemies.
• DIY Management – Create your unique restaurant
  As a real restaurant simulator, there are hundreds of recipes for the players to discover by completing tasks such as hiring staff and cooking, customizes and decorate the restaurant with different furniture and designs, Complete take-out orders and prevent dine & dash customers.
• Amazing Voiceovers – Voice of Food Souls
  This game feature dual language voiceovers from a cast of popular Japanese and English voice actors such as Miyuki Sawashiro, Natsuki Hanae, Takuya Eguchi and many more that using their voice to bring life to the Food Souls.
• Food Combos – Hundreds of Food Pairings
  Tiramisu & Chocolate, Coffee & Milk, Steak & Red Wine and many other types of Food Souls pairing with unique talents feature for the players, which enable the players to turn the tides of battle.

Food Souls are the characters you use to form teams and also man forces for your restaurant. Every player will be given a few Food Souls at the beginning of the game. Some of the Food Souls can be paired together to unlock deadly combo attacks upon the enemies. The characteristic of the Food Souls can be identified by four different icons which are:-

• Defense: Blue shield
• Strength: Red sword
• Magic: Purple star
• Support: Green cross

 

The “Restaurant” in Food Fantasy

Aside from battling with Fallen Angels and completing stages, the Master Attendant also need to manage their restaurant well. In this restaurant, the players need to make sure that their customers are satisfied in order to gain money, fame, and tips. This includes completing tasks such as hiring staff, developing recipes, gathering ingredients, cooking.

 

The summons pool of Food Fantasy

The summon pool allow the players to more Food Souls. Each summons costs 150 Soul Embers, which can be acquired by winning battles or completing Story Missions. There are four different unit rarities: UR (the strongest), SR, R, and M (managing). The M (managing) type of Food Souls is best-suited for running the Restaurant rather than putting them at combat.

Food Fantasy is a lot of fun to play with its great mix of elements. It has various types of food that can be found in our real world and the most interesting is each food is personified in the game, it’s a JRPG, its got tons of collectible Food Souls and it even has extras to do on your downtime waiting for that energy to come back. A game after my own heart and it is the best way for me to reduce my stress (because of the food!!!). The only problem for this game would be if the F2P (Free-to-play) doesn’t turn this game into a massive pay to win, then it will remain a stellar success. There are many games items required the player to purchase with real money. Some of the game players may choose to purchase the game items in Food Fantasy to win the game. However, do bear in mind that this is still a game, so do think twice before you purchase anything in the game with real money, in case you don’t know how much you have purchased.
